How To Create a Bootable MacOSX USB Flash Drive

As the root user, execute:

“/Applications/Install OS X El Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia” –volume /Volumes/{USB_DRIVE_NAME_HERE}/ –applicationpath “/Applications/Install OS X El Capitan.app”

Be sure to include the required double-quotes, or use backslashes to escape the spaces in the path.
