How To Swap iPhone 5/5s Phone Numbers

We have two lines with AT&T. Our 5s just arrived, but with the wrong phone number, so we wanted to swap the phone number between the phones.

We did it by swapping the SIM cards between the phones as per AT&T technical support.

PROCEDURE:

Turn off both phones.

Look along the right side of each phone for the nano sim eject hole. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5163?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US)

Insert a paper clip into the hole and push gently but firmly.

The sim card tray will pop up just enough for you to get a fingernail in there and pull the tray and card out gently.

Do not pull too fast or the sim card will come flying out of the tray!

Swap the sim cards into the tray for the other phone (ours were different colors) and insert them back into the phones.
(The tray is notched so that you can align the sim card into the other tray with the metal side facing away from you and the notch in the upper right corner.)

Power up the phones and navigate to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings and make sure to follow all of the prompts to reset that specific setting.
