The Last Leg

Heading for home today. Not a moment too soon. The Cameron Park Inn is very pleasant. They simply do not have adequate air conditioning for my needs. We almost drove home last night because the room was so warm. Fortunately we had the wisdom to drive around for a bit to allow the room to cool further and turned the overhead fan on high.

I had gotten a massage when we arrived, and the therapist was excellent. Naomi is getting one at 9:30 this morning, just before we leave for Somerset. We will simply scoop her into the car and hit the road.

Breakfast is at 9am, and I will pack the car while Naomi is massaged.

We went to the Second Empire restaurant for dinner last night with another couple that we know. They were married by Naomi, and moved down a couple of years ago. We had the Chef’s table in the kitchen. The food was exellent. The conversation was too. We hope to see them up North in May. The meal was five courses and each was really good. Not Ninety Acres, mind you, but quite acceptable. We were happy that our friends were also pleased.
