Busy Saturday, Too!

Author: , July 10th, 2010

Been trying to keep up with the various client demands. Did some work for Dora Rings this morning, fixing the Omnia site’s collection images. Now doing the Princeton Amish market coupons, waiting for Naomi to get back from chiro and shopping. Our friends from CT are coming to visit this afternoon and I am rushing […]

Record Breaking Temperatures!

Author: , July 7th, 2010

Another day predicted to be around 100°. I hope it ends soon. Our house a/c is not keeping up. Woken at 7am by the cat yowling. Not happy. Some things from yesterday: Mama Cat stopped by for dinner – had not seen her in quite a while; and James painted the bathroom ceiling – looks […]

Bird Watching

Author: , June 26th, 2010

Naomi tossed some bread onto the lawn before she left. Many birds have descended upon the lawn to indulge in today’s repast. There have been many bluejays flying and diving for the whole slices. Their fully-spread wings look magnificent in the bright sunshine as they swoop from the branches to the grass.

Early to Rise

Author: , June 26th, 2010

Woke up this morning at 5:15am regurgitating in my sleep. Not a good way to wake up. Sat outside and listened to the birds greet the sunrise. Very nice until the traffic started on Amwell Road, at which point I came back inside. Sleeping in general has been better since the blackout curtains were installed.

A Busy Friday

Naomi is WFH today because she is not feeling well still. My teeth are still paining me – must get to the dentist. Saw a deer eating in the backyard this morning, and last night Naomi spotted a gopher. One of the feral cats, nicknamed “Mr. Sniffles”, has taken up residence on our deck. He […]

The house has improved thanks to James. Saw a wild turkey in the backyard! Moving well converting YouCake to the new framework.

A Glorious Day

Author: , June 7th, 2010

The humidity is gone for now. The sun is shining and the temperature is under 70 degrees. Lovely! Deer in the backyard grazing, coffee in hand and a clear direction for the week’s work. Had to toss the cat on the porch at 4am due to her incessant yowling. Did manage to get some sleep […]

Lightning is Frightening

Author: , May 28th, 2010

Last night I saw a lightning strike about 20 feet from my window. It was one of the scarier experiences of my life. Everything else went black and all I could see was a blue line with a glowing orange tip that stopped in mid-air directly across from me. The thunder roared at me just […]

Space Shuttle Launch – Atlantis’ 32nd and Last Voyage

Author: , May 14th, 2010

A SPECTACULAR launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis. The launch brought tears to my eyes, as they always do. They represent a fantastic achievement in the evolution of Man and Technology. I resent the fact that the program is shutting down.
